On Embossing of tissue paper machine

To produce toilet paper with beauty full embossing patterns, we need add an extra embossing rollers on the machine.

What are the common embossing type and what’s the different?

1.Double embossing

There will be two sets of embossing units: upper roller& steel roller, and steel roller& bottom roller. This type can be called point to point embossing and is usually with steel roller and wool roller. Double embossing will make clear embossing patterns,but as it embossed twice, the raw paper has to be at least 70% wood pulp paper to give enough support with the wool roller.

2.Single embossing

1) lathe made roller to rubber/wool/felt roller. Recommend patterns : square/diamond shape

2) Erosion made roller to rubber/wool roller. Recommend patterns: dots

3. Steel to steel embossing

This type is very very clear pattern but the price is expensive and the raw material has to be 100% wood pulp paper to give enough support.
